Nokia and TPG Telecom hit 2Gbps 5G uplink speed

Finnish telecommunications vendor Nokia and TPG Telecom have hit a 5G uplink speed of 2Gbps by deploying TPG Telecom’s 5G mmWave spectrum during a live demonstration at the Nokia 5G Futures Lab in Sydney Australia.

UScellular, in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies and Inseego, has launched its 5G mmWave high-speed internet service in parts of 10 cities. The carrier’s Home Internet+ solution delivers speeds of up to 300 Mbps, an increase of 10-15 times compared to its 4G LTE home internet offering, and is a significant milestone in its multi-technology approach to providing High-Speed Internet solutions.

Another week another 5G speed record

At the Viettel Innovation Lab, Viettel, Ericsson and Qualcomm have cooperated to research, test and successfully establish 5G data transmission speed of over 4.7Gbps. This is 40 times faster than 4G and 2 times more than the currently available 5G speeds.
